Biography
A Toronto-based Ecuadorian DJ and producer fusing Afro House, Organic House and Melodic Techno into an immersive sonic experience.
Drawing inspiration from his Latin roots and global influences, Azul creates music that blends deep, emotional melodies with tribal percussion and hypnotic rhythms.
In just under two years, Azul performed alongside international talents such as Omnya, Marino Canal, Silver Panda and Amentia, with notable appearances at CODA Toronto and Amsterdam Dance Event. Since then he has shared the stage with Aaron Sevilla, Joezi, Double Touch and Djuma Soundsystem.
His sets are designed to transport listeners, evoking movement, connection and a sense of belonging on the dancefloor. Off the decks, he is part of Tribe, an Afro House collective in Ottawa. There he plays quarterly events and creates opportunities for other Afro House DJs to showcase their music.
Azul’s mission is to build cultural bridges through sound, showcasing the richness of heritage and the evolving landscape of electronic music.
